Institutions receiving grants prior to 2008

Prior to 2008, grants were awarded to some of the institutions described above and to the Consortium of Academic Centers for Integrative Medicine, the Section of Integrative Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center; the Rosenthal Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine at Columbia University; Oregon Health and Science University Integrative Family Medicine Residency and the American Botanical Council.

The Weil Foundation, a non-profit organization which receives all of Dr. Andrew Weil's after-tax profits from Weil Lifestyle, LLC, has as its goal the advancement of Integrative Medicine.

The Foundation offers a limited number of grants each year to non-profit organizations to help finance efforts to advance Integrative Medicine.

TIMELINES FOR 2012 WEIL FOUNDATION GRANTS

1. Proposals for 2012 must be received by January 31, 2012
2. The Weil Foundation Board will evaluate the proposals at their February, 2012 meeting.
3. Grant applicants will be notified of the Board's decisions in March of 2012.
4. Grants will be funded from July 1, 2012 until June 30, 2013.

Grant proposals must explain how the activity for which Weil Foundation support is sought advances the mission AND the current strategic focus of the Foundation.

The following is the mission of the Foundation:   
The Weil Foundation supports the advancement of Integrative Medicine by making grants for training, research, education of the public, and policy reform.

The current strategic focus of the Foundation is:
